New Year, New me….?

Happy New Year wonderful people! Hope you’re all well and happy and ready to take on 2023! Tbh, I’m not the biggest fan of the events celebrating new years, from the anti climactic new years eve parties to the new year new me (I’m still the same person?!) resolutions that no one ever follows through with, it’s always been a weird celebration for me. I’m not a total misery, promise, I LOVE the festive season and I feel so lucky that December 2022 was a particularly wonderful time full of relaxation, family, friends and food, but predictably by new years eve I was tired (hungover), uncomfortably bloated and craving regular movement.

Although still made up of about 75% cheese and champagne, I feel positive about 2023 so far. New Years Day and the extra bank holiday was spent mattress shopping (hello mid 30’s!), enjoying the sunshine on a ginormous walk with the hubs, gently preparing myself to move back into my normal routine and replacing my daily breakfast of mince pies to the usual overnight oats.

I’ve spent my first day back in the ‘office’ today prepping the first sweaty Saturday class of 2023, working on this website and setting intentions and goals for the year, all of which have left me excited about what lies ahead, what opportunities this year may bring and what I can do to create the life I want to live. If you haven’t done so already, I encourage you to set some intentions for 2023. These aren’t resolutions (which can sometimes feel like a punishment), and don’t have specific timescales or loads of detail which often leads to disappointment; setting my intentions for the year has helped me to discover what’s important to me right now in multiple areas of my life and the habits I want to make, whilst keeping it free and more flexible to try different things so that they really work for me. I’ll write another post with my intentions on so you can copy the titles I’ve used if you’re interested in doing something similar.

Whether you set intentions for the year or not, I hope you all have a year filled with joy, abundance and health. Can’t wait to see you for the first class of the year!
