I’m not your usual ex model or ex dancer Pilates teacher, I’m a ‘normal(ish)’ gal who has found enjoyable movement that makes me feel fantastic outside and in, and I want to share this feeling with others.
After years of working in an office, trying many forms of exercise, punishing my body and being unkind to myself, I discovered Pilates. I learned that I didn’t need to be lifting the heaviest weights or pushing myself to exhaustion on the treadmill to build strength and feel good about myself. I love that the low impact movement in Pilates is not only kinder to my body, but it also gets results too.
The positive impact of Pilates on my wellbeing has been significant. The Pilates principles have enabled me to move mindfully which in turn has helped me be more present in day to day life. That post Pilates feeling, is not something easily recreated and it fills my soul so I can turn up in the world for others.
After practicing for several years, I took my mat Pilates and pre and post natal Pilates qualifications in 2022 and have been teaching since. I’m now Reformer and Barre qualified too!
Jen has combined her classical Pilates training with inspiration gained from her time living in Sydney, to create dynamic, modern and fun Pilates classes. A Pilates with Jens class removes the clinical feel from Pilates and adds in some spice and enjoyment! Every workout focuses on:
